The strategy to master a job interview:

Create two portfolios, the first serves as a quick preview whereas the second is a detailed case-study presentation.

Why two?

🌈 The first: portfolio preview
Allows you to show a quick overview of your most recent works aimed to attract the recruiter’s attention. Doing so will increase your chances of moving on to a second interview.

🎨 The second: full case-study presentation
You aimed to show your work case studies with more significant insight. With this approach, you can discuss each aspect of a UX project in great detail: decisions, constraints, team and role players, etc.

In both scenarios, remember that sharing any project information shall remain private.

This strategy works for several reasons:

- Helps to identify relevant job openings
- Saves everyone’s time and energy
- Lets you go step-by-step
- Makes sure expectations are aligned
- Prevents NDA violations

Last but not least, be very cautious about projects covered by NDAs: whenever possible, hide sensitive information and replace direct references to your client’s brand.

You’ll protect yourself from any risks resulting from infringing NDAs regulations!
